SNUGI AI - TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Snugi AI.

1. DEFINITIONS

- "Snugi AI" or "We" refers to the Snugi AI platform and service

- "Service" refers to the website at https://app.snugi.io

- "Nunu" refers to the AI companion that provides mental health support

- "You" or "User" means any individual using the Service

- "User Content" means messages and conversations you create

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using Snugi AI, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. AGE REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 13 years old to use Snugi AI

We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)

If you are under 18, we recommend using Snugi AI with parental awareness

4. WHAT SNUGI AI IS (AND ISN'T)

NUNU IS AN AI, NOT A HUMAN:

- Nunu is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI)

- Nunu is NOT a human counselor, therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist

- Nunu cannot provide the same care as a licensed professional

EDUCATIONAL TOOL, NOT MEDICAL ADVICE:

- Snugi AI teaches coping skills based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

- This is an educational resource, NOT therapy or medical treatment

- Snugi AI does NOT replace professional mental health care

- We make NO guarantees that using Snugi AI will prevent self-harm,

  suicide, or mental health crises

LEGAL COMPLIANCE:

- Snugi AI complies with California SB 243 (AI Companion regulations)

- We clearly disclose AI nature and educational purpose throughout the Service

5. EMERGENCY & CRISIS RESOURCES

6. YOUR CONTENT & PRIVACY

WHAT YOU OWN:

- You own the messages you send to Nunu ("User Content")

WHAT WE CAN DO:

By using Snugi AI, you grant us permission to:

- Store your messages temporarily for conversation continuity

- Analyze your messages to detect crisis situations

- Share crisis-flagged messages with authorized mental health professionals

YOUR CONTENT MUST NOT INCLUDE:

- Illegal content

- Sexually explicit material (prohibited for minors under SB 243)

- Spam, malware, or harmful code

- Content that violates others' rights

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree NOT to:

- Use Snugi AI for illegal activities

- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or manipulate the AI

- Share sexually explicit content

- Harass, threaten, or abuse the Service

- Impersonate others or provide false information

- Use automated bots or scripts

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Snugi AI owns all rights to:

- The "Snugi AI" name and branding

- "Nunu" AI character and personality

- Website design and user interface

- Educational content and algorithms

- Source code and technology

You may NOT:

- Copy, modify, or redistribute our content

- Reverse-engineer the AI system

- Use our trademarks without permission

- Create derivative products

9. COUNSELOR ACCESS & MANDATORY REPORTING

CRISIS MONITORING:

- Authorized mental health professionals may review crisis-flagged logs

- This is for your safety and well-being

MANDATORY REPORTING:

⚠️ Mental health professionals are legally required to report:

- Threats of self-harm or suicide

- Child abuse or neglect

- Threats to harm others

- Other situations required by law

10. NO WARRANTIES - "AS IS" SERVICE

Snugi AI is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

- The Service will always work without interruption

- Nunu's responses will be accurate or helpful

- Crisis detection will identify all at-risk users

- The Service will meet your specific needs

- Any particular results from using Snugi AI

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

- Snugi AI is NOT liable for any harm arising from use of the Service

- We are NOT responsible for missed crisis interventions

- We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

- Our total liability is limited to $100 USD or the amount you paid

  (which is $0, since Snugi AI is free)

YOU USE SNUGI AI AT YOUR OWN RISK.

12. TERMINATION

WE MAY SUSPEND OR TERMINATE YOUR ACCESS IF:

- You violate these Terms

- You misuse the Service

- Required by law

YOU MAY STOP USING SNUGI AI AT ANY TIME:

- Your session data expires when you close your browser

- No account deletion needed (because we don't require accounts)

13. PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy at:

The Privacy Policy explains:

- What data we collect (very minimal)

- How we use it

- Your rights

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time by:

- Updating the "Last Updated" date above

- Posting the new Terms on our website

Your continued use after changes = you accept the new Terms.

If you don't agree with changes, stop using Snugi AI.

15. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

- These Terms are governed by California law

- Any disputes will be resolved in California courts

16. MISCELLANEOUS

SEVERABILITY:

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains valid.

NO WAIVER:

Our failure to enforce any right doesn't mean we waive that right.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT:

These Terms (plus our Privacy Policy) are the complete agreement

between you and Snugi AI.
